Given the warmer weather, Lyme disease awareness is on the rise in the media, but the reporting is simply NOT accurate. You don't have to be on a hike to get Lyme nor will you always find the tick (if that's how you got it)! Some people with Lyme have little to no symptoms, while others are bedridden for months and years, yet nobody outside the Lyme community seems to know about the later.
