EMF (electromagnetic fields) and EMR (Electromagnetic Radiation) come from not just the obvious places like cell phones and WI-FI but wireless anything: household electronic devices like your refrigerator, dimmer lights, cars, X-ray and CT machines, and airplanes. According to The US Nuclear Regulatory Commision, the average US person is exposed to 620 millirem of radiation a year while the annual public dose limit is 100 millirem! (1)
EMF sensitivity is a very real thing causing much distress with symptoms such as headaches, fatigue, joint pain, and tinnitus and also contribute to some chronic diseases because it can damage the DNA. The symptoms have become such an issue with some people that there is even now a health center in Dallas dedicated solely to patients with EMF sensitivity. It is important to remeber however, that even if you don’t have symptoms, your body is still being affected by the EMF/EMIs.
Here's how EMF/EMR threatens our health (according to Tily’s Biotech):
Corruption of Water Molecules in our bodies (Impeding our internal communication systems)
Corruption of our DNA (Incompetent cellular regeneration)
Interruption of our Biorhythms (Interfering with the body’s ability to detox)
Interference of Natural Frequencies (Isolating us from the Information that Pilots our bodies)
These dirty “fields” are literally everywhere and quite impossible to completely escape in today's society, especially if living in a city. So how is it that we can minimize our exposure?
It could be helpful to shut off your WI-FI before going to sleep. Even in urban areas, this can be beneficial. [When we had our condo tested, we discovered that when WiFi was off, our living room had minimal frequencies detectable.] If you do live in an urban area and have severe EMF sensitivity, you may want to look into an anti-EMF bed canopy.
No electronics in:
The bedroom. TV, cell phones, Bose speakers, etc. Get that stuff OUT no-matter where you live! When your body sleeps it is also repairing itself on a cellular level and EMFs can affect this process.
If you MUST have your phone in the bedroom, have it at least 6-ft away from your body. It can also help to diminish, but not stop, EMFs if it is on airplane mode. [Since your phone has a clock running constantly, it’s always receiving a signal, even when on airplane mode].
We do not keep electronics in our bedroom [except our air purifier which is as far away as possible from the bed]. We even had our outlets and dimmers configured so when the lights are OFF, the outlet is completely off as well i.e. the plug wont work if something is plugged in.
Additionally, metal bed frames or mattresses with metal springs are often seen as EMF attractors. It’s like sleeping with an antenna. [There is mixed info about this, as with anything. Some say never to have metal in/around your bed, others say it’s no big deal. Before writing off one or the another, do your research and read the explanations in detail. When I learned about this I did a ton of research and talked to lots of people and eventually we came to the decision to have absolutely no metal in or around our bed.]
The bathtub. Salt baths are meant to help detox chemicals and effects of radiation, so taking a salt bath with your cell phone is counter-intuitive.
Cell phone protection. I use the You Matrix (formerly Tily's) sticker on my personal cell but also use speakerphone to talk on my cell rather than holding it to my ear. [We also tested my phone with the EMF expert and without that sticker it made a big difference to my exposure when in my pocket or in my hand.]
Laptop protection. I have heard endless stories of people with various health impairments that begin to improve once they stopped resting their laptops on their lap and/or purchased a laptop shield. I use this one from Hara Pad. You Matrix also has a laptop pack.
When you fly you are being exposed to high amounts of radiation. No matter how often you fly, try and protect yourself by taking antioxidants like Astaxanthin, binders such as Chlorella and Spirulina [I take Nutrex Hawaiian and sometimes this], drink Matcha and/or try to take a detoxing salt bath post-flight. Here’s a great article on this. Here too.
Test your home with an EMI meter to see how much “dirty electricity” you have floating around. You can then purchase the appropriate amount of “dirty electricity” filters for around your home. A great site for this (I used to use these in my home) is Greenwave Filters however you need a lot of them to be effective. I also like the idea of having just one thing to protect the entire home like this item from Earth Calm, Somavedic, and LightLounge.
If you have to have CT scans and X-Rays, taking the same binders and antioxidants as when flying [listed above] can be helpful. Take a dose the morning of the scan and again that evening and another dose two days following. Additionally, this product has been given to me before XRays/scans in dentist offices, yes real medical dentists, who practice biological medicine.
